Dissociation: individual may experience memory loss, being detached from yourself and emotions, a perception of the people and things around you as distorted and unreal, blurred sense of identity, significant stress, and the inability to cope well with emotional or professional stress. This painting was a class assignment where we were given the chance to break the rectangle in an integrated way. With my concept of shedding a light onto dissociation, I opted for two boards that are adjacent to each other.

Dissociated, was on display in a solo art show at the Galesburg Civic Art Center, “Create, Destroy”, from March 6-28th, 2020 in Galesburg, IL.
